Support our ministries through sharing financially---
Jeff Martin, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, offers this advice in the new year of 2012:
"...be generous towards God; generous with your time, talents and resources. I firmly believe that what one does with the blessings that God entrusts into one’s care is a clear indication of the spiritual health of an individual. I want to see us succeed in our efforts towards generosity to the Lord."
Members are encouraged to make a habit of giving on a weekly basis, to give to God "first", and to strive toward the goal of giving a "tithe" and beyond. Why? Not because "God needs" our gifts, but because God knows "we need" to give.
There are many ways to financially support the ministries of this church. Weekly collections are one important method our members use to help this ministry. But there are also other ways to offer financial support.
